                         How are my services Unique?

*I am passionate about what I do. I have worked as a volunteer in developing countries to be apart of the effort to improve Maternal-Child Health. I do this work because I believe that Each Baby Born non-violently heals the Earth and makes a more peaceful, gentle planet for us all

*The longest I’ve ever taken to respond/arrive at a labor/birth is half an hour. I am not guaranteeing that will always be the case, but I’d like to keep my track record for a quick response time! If you are my client, you are my priority, I am there for you.

*Though I believe all providers who give birth and breastfeeding support should have the right (license or not, certification or not) to provide care to parents who choose them, I am very excited about doing what I do and I have been educated and trained to provide professional, helpful support.

You are special, your baby is special and you deserve individualized care.

I am trained and experienced to carry out a variety of roles to attend all pregnant women throughout pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding, in whatever setting mother chooses to be in.

All questions are worth asking!

I am present during the childbearing journey to help you answer your own questions and empower you to make healthy decisions for you and your family.

I come from a natural health and holistic healing background as well as having knowledge of relevant modern science to offer when appropriate.

I believe that all mother’s and their families should be able to look back to their childbearing year as a time of power and love, with positive memories to cherish forever.

 Poem by Barbara Kingsolver...

Ordinary Miracle

I have mourned lost days
When I accomplished nothing of importance.
But not lately.
Lately under the lunar tide
Of a woman’s ocean, I work
My own sea-change:
Turning grains of sand to human eyes.
I daydream after breakfast
While the spirit of egg and toast
Knits together a length of bone
As fine as a wheatstalk.
Later, as I postpone weeding the garden
I will make two hands
That may tend a hundred gardens.

I need ten full moons exactly
For keeping the animal promise.
I offer myself up: unsaintly, but
Transmuted anyway
By the most ordinary miracle.
I am nothing in this world beyond the things one woman does.
But here are eyes that once were pearls.
And here is a second chance where there was none.
